FRONT END LOADER OPERATOR
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Attend daily safety meeting
Sign for machine key (Key control)
Remove lockout
Do pre-use inspection as per the pre use checklist of the machine
Start machine and blow horn (Hooter) before setting machine in motion
Feed plant as and when needed at the correct feed rate.
Keep stockpile areas clean and level.
Load haul trucks as and when needed.
Do not overload haul trucks.
Load and tip as per standard.
At the end of shift switch off the machine.
Perform lockout procedure
Hand machine key in, under signature.
N/B. radio is only used for work purposes and not for private conversation
Cell / radio and ear phones are not permitted to be used whit operating equipment
Maintain safe following distances at all times
When equipment is not in use it must be locked out as per procedure
Wash machine when required.
Grease machine daily.
Clean up all spillages caused by loading
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
Education: Grade -12
More than 5 years’ Experience as a competent operator
Valid Skills Certificate of competence from registered training facility – Front End Loader licence
Physical requirements : Medically fit
Either Knowledge of earth moving equipment
Familiar with Safety Regulations
Working with mechanical tools
Good Communication Skills
Teamwork and co-operation.
Be able to read and write English
Good listening skills.
Knowledge of Company policies and procedures
Must be able to function in a team
